Senior full-stack developer

I build production web apps that handle real money and real users.

Seven years of shipping with React, Next.js and TypeScript, from freelance sites and e-commerce stores to a multi-tenant SaaS with a full payments stack. Fully remote since 2019 with teams in the USA, Canada, Australia and Saudi Arabia.

Three projects that show how I work

Each one is in production. For every project: the problem, what I built, and what it changed.

Eighty Eight gym platform
Multi-tenant SaaS · Saudi Arabia · 2026 to present

Gym management platform for Eighty Eight

A SaaS built for the Saudi fitness market, live with a first gym of 700+ members.

The problem
Gyms in Saudi Arabia needed memberships, check-ins, front desk and payments in one place, with Arabic interfaces and local payment methods that global gym software does not support.
What I built
A multi-tenant Next.js dashboard with tRPC and a Hono API on PostgreSQL (Drizzle), Redis and BullMQ workers, realtime WebSockets, and a bilingual English/Arabic UI with right-to-left layouts. The complete payments stack: card payments through PayTabs, buy-now-pay-later with Tabby and Tamara, durable payment links, webhook processing, refunds with settlement windows and ZATCA-compliant e-invoicing. Plus a front desk kiosk app in Tauri 2 (Rust + React) with device-key authentication.
The result
In production with a first gym of 700+ members. Every feature is owned end to end, from the design doc to the tests.

CouchTube remote on a phone next to YouTube on a laptop
Chrome extension · open source · 2026

CouchTube, a phone remote for YouTube

Scan a QR code and your phone controls YouTube on your computer. Live on the Chrome Web Store.

The problem
Watching YouTube from bed on a laptop means getting up for every pause, volume change or next video. Existing remotes need an app, an account or the same Wi-Fi.
What I built
A Manifest V3 extension that pairs with a phone through a QR code and a tiny Node WebSocket relay. The phone page is a single HTML file with the full remote: seek, volume, speed, captions, fullscreen, search, up next, live streams, sleep timer. Includes a fix for browser fullscreen without a user gesture and a scraper that survives YouTube's two markup generations. Playwright end-to-end tests drive the real extension against a faked youtube.com.
The result
Published on the Chrome Web Store, relay deployed on Railway behind Cloudflare, landing site, privacy policy, MIT license. A complete product shipped solo, from idea to store listing.

Logix POS checkout screen with product categories, items and the order panel
Point of sale · Flux Interactive, Australia · 2025

Logix, a point-of-sale system for retail stores

The front end of Logix POS, a point of sale with card processing, inventory, staff and loyalty tools for retailers. Sold today at logixpos.io and running in stores.

The problem
Retail staff need a checkout that is fast on a touchscreen, forgiving under pressure and still working when the internet drops, while owners need inventory, staff hours and sales numbers they can trust.
What I built
The React and TypeScript front end with Tailwind, owning almost all of the UI and UX: product lookup, cart, payments flow, receipts and daily operations. Extended the tRPC back end and evolved the PostgreSQL schema with Drizzle ORM as features grew.
The result
In production in retail stores. Delivered remotely over twelve months with an Australian team.

How I work

From a rough idea to something people pay for

I own features end to end, and I use AI-assisted tooling (Claude Code) daily to ship faster while keeping the design, the architecture and the tests in my hands.

  1. 01

    Understand the business

Goals, constraints, who pays and why. A short design doc before any code.

  2. 02

    Design the system

Data model, permissions, integrations and failure modes, decided early while changes are cheap.

  3. 03

    Build full-stack

Interfaces, APIs and database in one pair of hands, with tests where money or data is involved.

  4. 04

    Ship and keep shipping

Deploy, measure, fix what real users find, and iterate weekly.

Hey, I'm Abderrahim

I like products with real business logic in them: memberships, payments, inventory, the things that break when they are wrong. I have shipped those remotely for teams on four continents, and I am looking for the next one.
